Anyone do digital scrapbooking?

posted by: schoolbelle on 06.25.2009 at 09:25 am in Scrapbooks Forum

I've tried traditional scrapbooking over the years but just can't stand the clutter, mess, and expense (sorry dedicated scrapbookers!).

What's new out there for those who digitally scrapbook? What programs do you use and like? What tips can you offer to someone just starting out? Are there books or other resources that have been helpful at getting you started? How have you scanned and organized old photos for easy digital use? Do you print out your finished pages or keep the album on CD? Do you add music? If so, how?

I use a Mac, have a huge library of digital clip art, have access to scanner and printer, love to do digital photography and really think digital is the way to go for me...now, who can give me some advice to get me going?

Thanks.

I pieced a quilt for my mother - king size so I sent it out for quilting (no way I could handle something this large). I gave it to her back in May. I just got it back today - and it's prettier than I imagined it could be. I'm so thrilled!!!!!!!!!!! My mother is going to love this. She lives on the water (in Maine and Florida - snow bird...)

I finally finished one of my UQTs sitting here. It's a Broken Dishes pattern with sashings and intended to be lots of brown because it hangs in a room with brown antiques.

Broken Dishes

Those are 8" blocks so you can get a feel for size. I generally do wall hangings except for a baby gift now and then. It sure looks better on the wall than sitting in the pile.
