RE: Add this one to your Christmas Candy List (Follow-Up #4)

posted by: jannie on 09.18.2010 at 06:54 pm in Kitchen Table Forum

My favorite Christmas candy is very simple to make. Line a baking sheet with foil. Set those waffle-shaped little pretzels called "Snaps" on the pan. Top each with one piece of Rollo candy (chocolate filled with caramel). Stick in the oven for about 8 minutes at 250 degrees, just till the chocolate starts to melt and get shiny. Remove from oven, then carefully (don't burn yourself) press a pecan half over each Rollo. Let cool and they are done.

YUMMY turkey recipe (if we're not all gobbled out)

posted by: aprilflower on 11.29.2009 at 06:02 pm in Kitchen Table Forum

Got this from a slow-cooker emailing list I belong to OMGoodness GOOD!!!

1 or 2 large turkey breasts
2 cans cranberry sauce
2 packets onion soup mix

cook in slow cooker 6-8 hours on low

That's it. Really. OMG the GRAVY is sweet/savory/scrumdilyishous!!!

I'm sure you could probably do this with leftover turkey as well, maybe only cook on low 2-4 hours just to thicken the gravy.

Enjoy!

Painting over Vinyl Wallboard

posted by: nancedar on 02.25.2006 at 06:49 am in Manufactured Homes Forum

My daughter bought a very nice 1997 MH and wants to paint over the patterned vinyl-coated wallboard. Anyone know what kind of paint to buy and what prep is needed to cover this slightly textured vinyl successfully?

Has anyone tried the venetian plaster on the vinyl walls? And can the vinyl be steamed off like wallpaper?
