Hi Frabee, Have you seen the neat totems Gotonenerveleft made out of the jars and terra cota pots? Here's a link (I hope)She posted them on the GJ forum. The title of the post was "how to make a casual totem".

They are also great for patio lights if you put sand in the bottom and set votive candles in them. Some posters on the GJ forum have even hung them from tree branches by wrapping wire hangers around them.

Hope you post pics of whatever you decide to make with yours.

Tea Cup Birdfeeders-spindles

posted by: kudzukween on 07.19.2007 at 01:44 pm in Garden Junk Forum

It's been raining,I've been cooped up baking and cooking and eating!! So I decided to make some things. You come to my home, and you get parting gifts, lol! I copied the little teacup birdfeeder poem, and cut some tulle and filled it with birdseed, tied up with ribbon and slipped the poem on the ribbon, and set it in the tea cup. So far I've made five of them, and surely will make more to give away. Looks like I had every cup turned away, but they all have flowers on the sides, matches the paint on the spindles.

OK, here is the pix. This is one of those projects that got soooo out hand! I adore Mexican folkart, so when I rescued this old heater, I started thinking it would be cool to try my hand at a folkart junk shrine for my prayer corner. 'cept I got carried away adding stuff!!! I am sorry, I don't know how to make the pictures bigger?
