RE: re-doing landscape, choosing plants, etc. (Follow-Up #14)

Designing a great foundation garden is not a trivial task for an experienced professional and might be near impossible for an inexperienced amateur. I have devoted a lot of time and energy to get to the point where I feel I am "competent" to design my own garden. I still have plenty to learn and I make a lot of mistakes but I have enjoyed the journey so far. If you want a nice garden now, hire a professional. If you want to learn how to create your own special garden then welcome aboard!
