Pet Food Dye-stained carpets

posted by: annova914 on 05.20.2009 at 08:25 pm in Cleaning Tips Forum

Well, I just tossed out a 3/4 full bag of Pounces tuna flavored. That is the source of the pink stains in our carpet thanks to kitty trying to throw up hairballs and only throwing up whatever she's just eaten. I've used my new SpotBot, trying different cleaners - Little Green and OxyGen2...the pink stain is still there. From now on she'll just have to endure the chicken/turkey flavored Pounces. the SpotBot works great on brown or yellow stains but I guess I'm going to need Stanley Steamer to return to work on the pink stains. I am not happy!

Has anyone here painted a family room Sherwin Williams Rainwashed

posted by: southernmum on 06.03.2013 at 10:48 pm in Home Decorating & Design Forum

We're building and I just had to pick interior paint colors. I've chosen SW Rainwashed for my family room, which is adjacent and open to kitchen, which will be painted BM Revere Pewter. My son said to me, "You know, usually rooms painted this blue are either beach houses or baby nurseries." He has a point... Anyone used Rainwashed in your home? Would love advice and pics if you've got them!
Many thanks!

I used Silestone "Blanco City" for the counter in the kids bath. The counter is easy to maintain and this shade has a lot of browns and grays you can pick up. We used a dark gray on the walls but I think blue, green or beige would look nice, too.
