Your three great truths seem to be very similar. Here are some quotes I found that I think express similar sentiments. I especially like the last one.

"The fundamental cause of trouble in the world is that the stupid are cocksure while the intelligent are full of doubt."
- Bertrand Russell (1872-1970)

"I find that the harder I work, the more luck I seem to have."
- Thomas Jefferson (1743-1826)

"Blessed is the man, who having nothing to say, abstains from giving wordy evidence of the fact."
- George Eliot (1819-1880)

"For anything worth having one must pay the price; and the price is always work, patience, love, self-sacrifice - no paper currency, no promises to pay, but the gold of real service."
- John Burroughs (1837-1921)
