Pulmonaria, Heuchera, Hosta, and Daylilies can all handle shade and attract hummingbirds. Hope this helps.

Hi Tartanhabit -

We are currently in the midst of remodeling our kitchen in a more European, modern, clean lines style. We have just started so I don't have photos, but I can tell you what we are going with for a start in case that helps you out :

Cabinets : Schuler Capistrano Cabinets in maple with a sesame finish (slab style cabinets, although not frameless) from Lowes

handles : stainless steel long pull bars (from myknobs.com)

Countertop : Dupont Zodiaq quartz in storm grey

backsplash : ModWalls 1"x2" Glass Running Brick/Subway Tile in color "Ice" (from ebay)

Floor : Armstrong Perla Marble in suede grey (ceramic tile that looks like concrete)

Lighting : Parker Pendant lamps in nickel by Jonathan Adler over the sink & eating area + under cabinet and recessed lighting overhead.

Sink : Blanco 512-747 SS single bowl with the Danze Parma Single Handle Pullout Spray Head in ss

We have all stainless steel cabinets and the Kenmore Elite European OTR hood in SS 52303

I know our palette seems pretty tame, but we will use strong pops of color like the Angela Adams lulu rugs in orange and blue and Le Creuset cooking items we have and love. You can Google any of these products to get a visual. Let me know if you have any more ?? Have fun!

Kristy
