Would you get this painting?

We have a lot of wall space to fill in our house. I have mixed feelings about putting off-the-shelf "art" on the walls, but while I would love every piece to be an original and have super special significance, it's not like we are art collectors or have the money to be either. Also, at some point, I just want to put things on the wall. So, I saw this large canvas print on Overstock, and I like the colors, the size, and the subject matter. I was thinking of putting it on the landing of our stairs under the window here:

Do you think this is cheesey?

NOTES:

I like the idea of stained glass over the window, color....and on the walls...put what you like

Living/dining room help please

ok, we just finished a large kitchen remodel where we used the space for the dining room. I now am left with a long narrow room in the front of the house that needs to serve as the only formal space. (we have a family room with the TV). I bought this ethan allen table and chairs about 5 years ago and I really would love to keep them somehow. The rest of the furniture is more flexible. As you can see from the pictures, it is still being stored all over the house. I have a vision of a conversation space that somehow blends with the eating space, but am stuggling.

I like the idea of the sofa going flat on a long wall facing two chair on the other wall across from the sofa, dining in back area...

My 1st thought was green if you can make it work with your countertop. Can you post of close up of the counters, so we can see the color better. Just curious, what were the 1st two colors you painted it and what didn't you like about them. I could also see a rust color like this:

I like a cream with a yellow under tone in it...
