RE: Cost of Frameless Shower Door (Follow-Up #32)

hello everyone.
I see allot of comments about frameless shower doors, that if the glass have a header at the top or channel around the glass it's not consider frameless for some people. The reason that you will end up with any metal around the glass is for support only, safety is always first. If you do not use header support on neo angle shower it might not be safe unless you use inch thick panels and they are secure to the wall with clips. Also U-channels are for bottom support of the glass. If you use just silicon it will not be strong enough to hold the glass for long time, the silicon will get weaker over time from soup and cleaning products. If you do not like u-channels you can use clips that are more expensive. But at the end you need support for your shower door.
As far a price goes you need to be a little more specific on what door did you get and how thick is the glass and how many pieces you have, and what hardware finish you got, plus if the installation was included or not. All this will affect the price.
The price is usually about $45 and up per SQ foot of glass, depends on your location.
