Believe me when I say, I stain a lot of wood, and honestly, the best staining product that I have found so far; at a reasonable price is a product called Keda Wood Dye. This product comes as a kit, with 5 colors, and let's you make your own wood stain colors by simply adding hot water. The kit creates an exotic finish, based on the wood's graining. Check them out; it is a really good product for $9.99, with free shipping.
