Cobwebs Everywhere!

posted by: JawjaPeach on 08.28.2013 at 11:31 am in Garden Clinic Forum

Hi All:

I have noticed of late that I have cobwebs everywhere in my yard and garden. They are on my shrubs, rose bushes, rosemary plants, all over my bank of low growing Juniper. There doesn't appear to be any harm to the plants, although I am not very familiar with signs of spider mites. I have looked at images of spider mite infestations online and nothing resembles anything close to what these images are showing.

I know that spiders can be a good thing in that they eat the bad bugs. I have rubbed away some of the webs in my shrubs only to find them back again within a few days.

Should I be concerned about these webs? Are they early signs of mites? Or are they merely homes for the bad bug eating spiders? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I Can't Afford This!

I have a beautiful Weeping Cherry that has all of a sudden developed brown leaf spot. Some of the leaves are yellowing and dropping. I checked for aphids since I've seen a few ants on the tree. I couldn't find any but sprayed with Pyola anyway. Figured it couldn't hurt. But it certainly had no affect for these spots.
I went online and identified the problem and according to the University of Mich. I have "cherry leaf spot". the pics were identical to my problem. The way to treat this according to the University is to treat the tree with a spry called "Bravo Rimodil Gold ". It sells for $133. for a pint! Is there anything else I might could use??

Thanks in advance for any help.

Would anyone happen to know where I might find this product? Thanks in advance for any help.
