Ann's Oatmeal Cookie Recipe is the BEST!!

posted by: trudymom on 02.05.2012 at 04:34 pm in Cooking Forum

I hadn't planned a dessert for today's game, so I decided on oatmeal cookies. I googled "Best Oatmeal Cookie" and since I am a visual person, I went under "images." I clicked on the one that looked the best, and whose do you think it was??--yes, Ann's! So I made them and they are awesome!!! That addition of sugar on top is soooo good!! Thank you Ann for making us better cooks and bakers.

Jessica here is the pancake recipe. If I make the full recipe, I freeze the ones we can't eat, otherwise I just cut it in half for the two of us.

Sour Cream Pancakes

2 tbsp butter
2 cups flour
1/4 cup sugar
1 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups milk
1 cup sour cream (regular or light)
1 tsp vanilla

Microwave 2 tbsp butter until melted.

In a large bowl combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Make a well in the center.

In a medium bowl whisk eggs with milk, sour cream, melted butter and vanilla. Pour into flour and stir just until mixed.

Immediately melt 1 tsp butter in large frying pan or griddle. Use 1/4 cup measure for each pancake.
